Rachelle L. "Shelly" Halle

June 27, 1958 — February 4, 2015

Rachelle L. “Shelly” Halle, 56, of Appleton, was called home to the Lord on Thursday, February 4, 2015, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 27, 1958, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Gilbert and Kathryn (Phipps) Bintzler, and on August 21, 1976, she was united in marriage to Dennis Halle at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brownsville.  They then moved to Arizona and Minnesota and returned to Wisconsin in 1998.

Shelly was a member of Eternal Love Lutheran Church in Menasha. In her previous church homes she was actively involved in choir and other church activities. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitch, stamping and card making. Shelly will be deeply missed by her husband, daughters, her family and by all who knew her.

Those Shelly leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband of 38 years, Dennis; two daughters, Katrina (Matthew) Call of Appleton and Kirstie (Drew) Savinski of Franklin; three grandchildren, Brittin, Aleyna and Jayden Call; her mother Kathryn Bintzler of Fond du Lac; three brothers, Bruce (Debra) Bintzler of Lomira, Charles (Jean) Bintzler of Brownsville and Greg (Kristy) Bintzler of Lomira; five sisters, Paula (David) Draves of Fond du Lac, Sara Bintzler of Horicon, Suzanne (Thomas) Darge of Campbellsport, Jodi (Walter) Marceau of Fond du Lac and Amy (Philip) Helmrick of Stevens Point; her mother-in-law, Geri Halle of Fond du Lac; three sisters-in-law, Cindy (Jose) Rodriguez of Fond du Lac, Teri Bintzler of Whitehall and Patti (Joel) Dornacker of Richfield; a brother-in-law, Michael (Marilyn) Halle of Virginia; a special niece, Nicole Draves; her special friends, Jackie and Ken Nielsen of Minnesota and Sue Krosnicki of Connecticut; aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Shelly was preceded in death by her father Gilbert Bintzler; her father-in-law, Harold Halle and her grandparents, Cordelia and Douglas Phipps.

Funeral services for Shelly will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 8, 2015, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brownsville with Rev. Robert Balza officiating.

The Halle family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services. Cremation will follow the traditional service.

The Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home in Lomira has been entrusted with Shelly’s arrangements.

The Halle family extends their deepest appreciation for the care provided to Shelly from Michelle Warn and Sara Joswiak who were her main in-home caregivers, and to her wonderful neighbors who were always there to help.
