Celebrate his life and our memories.

Ralph C. Faisst, age 95 years, of West Bend passed peacefully on April 23, 2024. Ralph was born on December 4, 1928, in St. Louis, Missouri to his parents, William and Clara Faisst (nee Peters). He married Verna Niehaus on June 5th, 1954 in St. Louis. Ralph attended St. Louis Public Schools, Lakeland College, Elmhurst College, Eden Seminary, University of Nebraska at Omaha, and McCormick Seminary. He was a pastor in the United Church of Christ and was Ordained to the Ministry on September 20, 1953. He served the following churches: Zion Evangelical and Reformed church in Mt. Vernon, Missouri, Trinity United Church of Christ in St. Joseph, Missouri, St. John's UCC in Council Bluffs, Iowa, St. Luke Union in Bloomington, Illinois, and St. John's UCC in Monroe, Wisconsin. When he retired, he remained active by supply preaching and volunteering. He and Verna also traveled with family and friends. He also enjoyed hobbies such as woodworking, photography, and genealogy. Ralph and Verna enjoyed living in the Cedar Community centers for many years. They enjoyed the trails, nature, and a variety of activities.

Those Ralph leaves behind to cherish his memory include: one daughter Marcia Nunes (Marco); two grandchildren, Patrick Nunes (Christina) and Monica Albrecht (Dane); six great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Ruth Hunt; two brothers-in-law, Gene Wetzel and Jack Ulrich; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Faisst (nee Niehaus); his parents, William and Clara Faisst; one daughter, Cynthia Faisst; a sister, Wilma Wetzel; and a brother, Raymond Faisst.

Ralph's final resting place will be in St. Paul's Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.

SERVICES: Both a memorial service and graveside service will be held in St. Louis, Missouri. Dates will be arranged later. Contact his daughter Marcia at mgfnunes61@gmail.com for more information.
