Ralph F. Koenings

Ralph F. Koenings, "Kaiser," age 77, of West Bend, passed away Friday May 6, 2005 at Tri Manor in West Bend.

He was born to the late John and Martha (nee Ott) Koenings on May 14, 1927 in the town of Barton.

During World War II he served his country by enlisting in the United States Army, serving in the European Theater. Upon his return he became a member of the Adrian Neubauer VFW Post #8658.

He was united in marriage to Dorothy Kirmse on July 11, 1951 in Grand Rapids, MI. Ralph began working as a machine operator for Line Material before leaving in 1963 to work construction for Barton Builders. Before his retirement in 1990 he also worked in the maintenance department for the West Bend School District.

Ralph was a member of St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Barton Volunteer Fire Department for many years.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy; three children, Linda (Norm) Pipping of Mt. Calvary, Ralph (Carita) Koenings of West Bend, and Mark (Dawn) Koenings of West Bend; five grandchildren, Andrew Pipping, Lucas, Kayla, and Trevor Koenings, and Rose Koenings; a sister, Clara Koenings of West Bend; two sisters-in-law, June Trudeau of Mass, MI., and LaVerne Koch of Port Washington; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Alvin Koenings; and eight sisters, Eleanore Gengler, Loretta Wilkomm, Frances Celusek, Viola Koenings, Helen Hunter, Jeanette Sarauer, Sally Hillary, and Gertrude Gaulke.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at 1:00 PM at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service of West Bend. Visitation will follow the service from 1:30 PM until 3:15 PM. Burial and military rites will follow at the new St. Mary's Cemetery at 3:30 PM.
