Ralph “Fuzzy” Leemon, 88, of Lomira, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.
He was born on January 9, 1927 on the family farm in Ladoga to the late Roy and Maggie (nee Smith) Leemon. He was united in marriage to Shirley Ninnemann on April 27, 1946 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ripon.
Fuzzy was a lifetime farmer. He also cut grass at Camelot Golf Club and drove cars for Wisconsin Auto Auction. He was an avid deer hunter and also loved fishing on Lake Michigan. He enjoyed going to farm auctions and casinos. Fuzzy was a jolly, happy person who loved to tell jokes and stories and make people laugh.
Those Fuzzy leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Shirley; six children, Larry (Mary Jo) Leemon of Sturgeon Bay, Janet (Joe) Lauber of Fond du Lac, Sharon (John Gayos) Dworschak of Poynette, Karen (Randy Robenhorst) Yerges of Mayville, Patti (Roger) Kirchner of Lomira, and Sandra Holt of Beaver Dam; 12 grandchildren, Tammy, Josh, Carey, Christina, Heidi, Michael, Becky, Steven, Robert, Michelle, Ashley, and Zachery; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Leemon of Rosendale; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four grandchildren, Corey Leemon, Wendy Leemon, Terri Lauber and Jefferey Yerges; a son-in-law, Wayne Dworschak; a sister, Alice; and a brother, Edwin.
A visitation in remembrance of Fuzzy will be held on Wednesday, February 25 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home, 350 Main St., Lomira. A private family service will be held and cremation will follow the service.
