Randall “Randy” Schultz, age 72 years, of West Bend, formerly of Markesan, was called home to be with the Lord on January 22, 2021 at Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation in West Bend.
Randy was born on June 14, 1948 in Beaver Dam to Elmer and Lillian Schultz (Burchert). He was united in marriage to Mary Johnston on August 8, 1970 at First Methodist Church in Galva, Illinois.
Randy graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1966. He attended Stout State University (now UW-Stout). Randy then went on to work with Wisconsin Electric starting in Port Washington, and then spent time at the Milwaukee Valley Power Plant and the Milwaukee County Power Plant. He retired after 38 years of service with the electric company, where he also served as Union Steward (Local 317 IUOE).
Randy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed boating, fishing, deer hunting, taxidermy, and woodworking. He was also a big Wisconsin sports fan. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at their home on Lake Puckaway.
Those Randy leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 50 years, Mary; two sons, Richard Schultz and Shawn Schultz; one granddaughter, Breleigh Schultz; brother-in-law, Jack Hertz; sister-in-law, Bonnie (Jerry) Hoxworth; two nieces, Dawn Hertz, Lisa (Bob) Leemans; and two nephews, Thomas Hoxworth, and David (Christine) Hoxworth. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Hertz.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
Randy’s family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Cedar Lake Health and Rehab and Cedar Hospice for the loving care they provided.
