Raymond F. Sartler, age 83, of West Bend, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at Cedar Lake Health & Rehabilitation in West Bend.
He was born on April 19, 1926 in Milwaukee to the late Felix and Matilda (nee Homan) Sartler. Ray honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. On October 25, 1952, he was united in marriage to Shirley Mae Hug in Milwaukee. Ray worked as a National Credit Manger for Wacker Corp. until he retired in 1995.
Ray is survived by his wife, Shirley; three children, Raymond G. Sartler (Linda) of Waterford, Ronald (Mary) Sartler of West Bend, and Sandra (Jeff) Paavola of Dousman; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Donald and Richard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 17th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church - 1025 S. 7th Avenue, West Bend. Fr. Sean Granger will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of mass. Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park.
