Raymond H. Thorn, 59, of West Bend, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2008 at St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee.
He was born on October 15, 1948 in Kewaskum to the late Herbert and Doris (nee Hoenschel) Thorn. Ray graduated from Kewaskum High School and served in the U.S. Army. He worked at Marigold Foods for many years.
On May 12, 1981, Ray was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Freund.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; three brothers, James (Lois) Thorn of Horicon, John (Linda) Thorn of Kewaskum, and Mike (Joy) Thorn of Campbellsport; mother-in-law, Petronilla (Sylvester) Stenz of Fond du Lac; three nephews, Jeff Thorn of Mayville, Kurt Thorn of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Nick Thorn of Campbellsport; a niece, Bobbie Jo Thorn of Campbellsport; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Thorn.
A visitation in remembrance of Ray will be held on Thursday, August 28 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Myrhum - Patten Funeral & Cremation Service, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Washington County Humane Society or Lac Lawrann Conservancy are appreciated.
