Reuben H. Fritz, 87, of the town of Byron, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2010, at Rolling Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fond du Lac.
He was born on July 21, 1923, in the town of Wayne, the son of the late Hubert and Irene (Loehrke) Fritz, and on September 21, 1946, he was united in marriage to Viola Glass at St. John’s Reformed Church in Beechwood.
Reuben was a lifelong farmer and did custom combining and hay baling. He also worked for Rosenheimer’s in Kewaskum and for Campbellsport Implement, and was a member of the Brownsville Community Club.
Those Reuben leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 64 years, Viola; three brothers-in-law, Marloe Glass of Campbellsport, Orville (Joan) Glass of Eden and Rollie (Lorna) Glass of Lomira; a sister-in-law, Irene Hinn of Campbellsport, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Reuben was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law, Elroy Glass, Albert Wesenberg Jr. and Harold Hinn.
Funeral services for Reuben were held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2010, at the Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home in Lomira. Rev. Kerry Wilson officiated and entombment was at 10:00 a.m. on Friday in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Fond du Lac.
Relatives and friends called at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services.
