Richard J. Lochen Sr., 61, of West Bend, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at his home with his family at his side.
He was born on June 30, 1949, in West Bend, the son of the late James and Dolores (Soares) Lochen, and on November 21, 1970, he was united in marriage to Tina Klein at Holy Hill Catholic Church in Hubertus.
Richard was a 1968 graduate of West Bend High School. He was employed by the West Bend Company in West Bend for 30 years and was a member of the 25 Year Club. Richard served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Campbellsport Fire Department for over eight years, and was a member of St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in West Bend.
Those Richard leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 40 years, Tina; four children, Mary (Dean) Braun of Kiel, Richard (Valerie) Lochen Jr. of Berlin, Victoria Lochen of Richmond, Virginia and Peter (Mandi) Lochen of Campbellsport; eight grandchildren, Morgan, Samantha, Luisa and Eryn Braun, Kenny Dodd Jr., Jeremiah and Tiffany Kramer and Addisyn Lochen; a great-granddaughter, Lilly Bartow; two sisters, Maureen (Dan) Kramer of Weyauwega and Pam (Robert) Schuemacher of West Bend; a brother-in-law, David (Mary) Klein of Campbellsport; three sisters-in-law, Alice Lochen of West Bend, Marie Klein of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Eleanor Klein of Beaver Dam, the Katherine Landrath family, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori May; a brother, James Lochen; his parents-in-law, Lee and May Klein and two brothers-in-law, John Klein and Raymond Klein.
Funeral services for Richard were held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 12, 2010, at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum. Dan Schroeder officiated and cremation followed the service.
Relatives and friends called on Friday at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.
