Richard L. Neuy passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 16th at the age of 64 years.
He was born on January 18, 1945 to the late Arthur and Marion (nee Hunt) Neuy, in West Bend. On March 23, 1996, Richard was united in marriage to Nancy Simonson.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his five children, Richard (Kathy) Neuy, Jr. of West Bend, Jody (Christine) Neuy of Stevens Point, Kim (David) Disch of Hartford, Jessica Gaspardo of West Bend and Dawn (John) Olson of West Bend. He is further survived by 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Shirley Herman, Sandra (John) Patterson, Debra (Lee) Rammer and Carol (Myron) McDaniel; three brothers, Arthur (Paula) Neuy, Donald (Linda) Neuy and Rick (Linda) Neuy; special friend and former wife, Geri Neuy; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy, Arlene and Linda; two brothers, Thomas and Kenneth.
Richard was the owner and operator of Neuy's Tap in West Bend for the past 13 years. His loyal customers and friends from his dart, pool and golf leagues became part of his extended family. Even in his last days his wish was to always stop in and visit with them. His wit, humor and sparkling personality continued to make his family and friends laugh up until the end. He leaves us with many cherished memories and stories to share for years to come. Thank you, Richard, for your 'crazy' sense of humor.
Funeral services in remembrance of Richard will be Friday, September 18th at 5:00 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home (1315 W. Washington Street) West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 pm until the time of services. Cremation will follow at Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral and Cremation Service.
