Richard "Dick" Schubert, 62, of Brownsville, was called home on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.
He was born on April 13, 1952 to Richard George Schubert and the former Alice Schubert (nee Soyk) Arndt in Milwaukee. He grew up in Slinger and graduated from Slinger High School in 1971. He was a truck driver all of his life as an owner/operator. He enjoyed antique tractors and going to the flea market in Princeton. He loved the Packers, Harley Davidsons, and deer hunting. He was a very strong willed person, who liked to laugh and loved to argue with others. His greatest joy of life was his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Marlene; four children, Lee Schubert, Lynn (FiancAC.e Marisol Zapata) Schubert, Kelly (Heather) Schubert, and Bradley (Melissa) Schubert; five grandchildren, Amber Schubert, Anthony Schubert, Katelyn Schubert, Alexis Schubert, and Aiden Schubert; a sister, Judith (Kenneth) Wolf; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Michelle Schubert; step-father, Herman Arndt; and parents-in-law, Walter and Marie Kollmann.
A funeral service in remembrance of Richard will be held on Thursday, September 25 at 7:00 pm at St John's United Church of Christ, 520 W. Washington St., Slinger. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 5:00 pm until time of service. Burial will be on Friday at 10:30 am at Diefenbach Cemetery in the town of Polk.
