Richard "Rich" Kaeppler

Richard “Rich” Louis Kaeppler, age 77 years, of West Bend was called home to be with the Lord on February 5, 2023 at Waterford of West Bend.

Rich was born on February 18, 1945 in Sheboygan to Roland and Florence (nee Landwehr) Kaeppler.  He was united in marriage to Carol Kasproski on May 20, 1978 in Menomonee Falls.

Rich graduated from Sheboygan North High School.  He proudly served his country in United States Air Force.  Rich attended Lakeland College and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and graduated with a Master’s Degree in accounting.  He was a Certified Public Accountant, and worked for GE Medical.  Rich enjoyed photography and model trains. He enjoyed the outdoors and hiking. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Those Rich leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 44 years, Carol; three children, Karin (Matt Schaning) Kaeppler, Stephen (Mary) Kaeppler, and Mark (Caitlin) Kaeppler; six grandchildren, Clare, Andrew, Nora, John, Joseph, and Henry Kaeppler.  He is further survived by his brother, Karl (Barbara) Kaeppler; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents.

A Visitation for Rich will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home (1315 W Washington St. – West Bend, WI  53095) with Military Honors at 11:00 a.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church (1025 S 7th St. – West Bend, WI  53095) on Tuesday, February 14 at 11:30 a.m. with Father Kevin Harmon officiating.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Waterford and Preceptor Hospice for their care and compassion.
