Robert J. Krell, age 78, of West Bend passed away on April 1, 2025, peacefully at home. He was born on March 12, 1947, and is the eldest son of the late William and Marie Krell (Moore). Robert graduated in 1965 from West Bend High School and enlisted in the US Navy that same year, proudly serving his country, fighting in Vietnam and returning home in 1969. Robert was also privileged to sing in the Navy Blue Jackets choir in San Diego.
Bob married the love of his life, Jean Kurth, on April 11, 1970, at Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church in West Bend. Together, they were blessed with two wonderful daughters and 4 amazing grandchildren that he was incredibly proud of. His involvement as color guard instructor to the Georgie Girls Baton Corp for several years, his commitment to his church choir, EcuMen Choir, other church activities and volunteering for Interfaith Caregivers highlight some of Bob's involvement in his community. Bob worked in various production management positions throughout his life, most notably at Bolens/ Garden Way, Inc. in Port Washington before retiring.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 55 years Jean, daughters Jennifer and Nicole (Phil Cargiulo), grandchildren Alexis, Tyler, James and Xander, and his siblings Mary and Ken Kudek and William and Char Krell. Robert is further survived by his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his parents in law, Everette and Bernice Kurth and a sister in law and brother in law, Jan and Ron Eisenmann.
Robert’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
SERVICE – The funeral service for Robert will be on April 27, 2025, at 3 pm at Fifth Avenue Methodist Church (323 S. 5th Avenue, West Bend, WI) with Pastor Hae-Jeong Yoon officiating.
VISITATION – Visitation will be from 1pm to 3pm at the church until the time of service. Burial will take place at Washington County Memorial Park. Full military honors will be held. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Fifth Avenue United Methodist Church or the Honor Flight.
