Robert "Coop" Cooper, 74, peacefully passed away on June 5, 2014.
Robert was born on May 23, 1940 to the late Robert and Edith ( nee Bucket) Cooper in Minneapolis, MN where he grew up. On October 26, 1963 he was united in marriage to Agnes ("Nessie") Milne in Montrose, Scotland.
He entered the US navy in 1959 and retired in 1978. During his time in the Navy, he served as a member of the Naval Security Group. He was a member of the NCVA ( US Naval Cryptologic Veterans Association) and of TOPS club, Inc. During his retirement he enjoyed driving a taxi for the city of West Bend and providing transportation for Inter-faith caregiving Organization. He was an avid Disney fan, making many trips to the Magic Kingdom with his family. He especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Agnes ( nee Milne) Cooper; three children, James R. (Angela) Cooper, Wendy L. Cooper, and Renee A. Cooper; four grandchildren, Laura E. Cooper, Thomas J. Agre, Kaci R. Agre, and Michael R. Cooper; great-grandchild, Jamie N. Cooper; brother in law, Donald Clement; many nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carol Clement; and grandson, Marcus Francis.
Visitation in remembrance of Robert will be held on Wednesday June 11, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home (1315 W. Washington St.) West Bend, with a Military Ceremony at 7:00 pm.
