Robert F. Denneau, 73, of Kewaskum, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2010, at his home.
He was born on March 8, 1936, in Oconto, the son of the late I. Leonard and Lillian (Behnke) Denneau, and on October 29, 1960, he was united in marriage to LaVerne Hayes at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Oconto.
Robert proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy from 1953-1957. He was a retired employee of St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, and was a member of the Oconto Masonic Lodge in Oconto and the Robert G. Romaine American Legion Post 384 Kewaskum.
Those Robert leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 49 years, LaVerne; four children, Judith A. (David) Fedder of Pinehurst, North Carolina, Scott Denneau of Manitowoc, Susan J. Denneau of West Allis and Steven (Kim) Denneau of Milwaukee; three brothers, Gene (Cathy) Denneau of Racine, Arthur (Ann) Denneau of West Allis and Chail (Shelly) Franks of Oconto; three sisters, Donna Ward of Green Bay, Lorna (Ronald) Koch and Jackie Westcott both of Suamico; five grandchildren, Kate, Tory, Matthew, Zachary and Payton, other relatives and friends.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Robert was held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2010, at New Song Church, 3131 S. 100th Street in Milwaukee. Dr. R. L. Bowen officiated and burial of his cremains will be at a later date in Brookside Cemetery in Oconto.
The family received visitors at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
