Robert Carl Erler, age 84, of Edmond, Oklahoma, formerly of West Bend, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2007.
He was born in the Town of Farmington, Wisconsin on April 16, 1923 to the late Carl and Amanda (Mueller) Erler. Bob was raised there and was graduated from West Bend High School in 1940. He met his future wife, Charleen "Sharky" Bremser, in West Bend. They were united in marriage on October 4, 1947. God blessed their marriage with four children, R. Charles, James, Scott, and Mark. Bob and Charleen moved to the Fort Myers area in 1989, and Bob relocated to Edmond, OK after the passing away of his wife.
He is survived by his three sons, James of Atlanta, GA, Scott of West Palm Beach, FL, and Mark of Edmond, OK; his two daughters-in-law, Mary Erler of Mauston, WI and Erica Erler of Edmond, OK; his three grandsons, Joseph, Christopher, and Matthew, and his three great-grandchildren, Travis, Dylan, and Nicholas. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his son, Chuck.
Funeral services in honor of Robert will be held on Friday, October 5, at 2:30 pm, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Bend with Rev. Mark Erler officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 1:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
