Robert K. “Bob” Krueger, 74, of the town of Auburn, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2007, at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.
He was born on December 20, 1932, in Kewaskum, the son of the late Charles and Ozella (Strack) Krueger, and on May 2, 1953, he was united in marriage to Ruth Breitzman at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade.
Bob was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane where he was a former trustee. He worked for the Kewaskum School District, retiring in 1995 after 25 years of service. Prior to working for the school district, he farmed in the town of Auburn and was employed by Regal Ware, Inc. in Kewaskum.
Bob loved gardening, restoring tractors and woodworking. He will be deeply missed by his wife, his family and by all who knew him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Ruth; two children, Robert Charles (Sandra) Krueger of Safety Harbor, Florida and Debra Ruth (Robert “Bruno”) Donath of West Bend; three grandchildren, Robert Donath III, Angela Donath and Drew Donath; two great-granddaughters, Abigail and Jalane Donath; a sister, Audrey (Robert) Fellenz of West Bend; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Guell of Fond du Lac and Joyce (Rev. Doug) Schweyer of Ontario, Canada; two brothers-in-law, Donald (Joan) Breitzman of Plymouth and David (Peggy) Breitzman of Cascade, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce (Jerome) Goeden; two brothers-in-law, Bob (Ellen) Breitzman and Merlin Guell; a sister-in-law, Vivian (Carlyle) Johanning and two infant brothers.
Funeral services for Bob were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2007, at St. John Lutheran Church, N665 Hwy. S, Kewaskum (New Fane). Rev. Mark Eckert officiated and burial followed in the church cemetery.
Relatives and friends called on Monday at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.
