Robert Frederick Peters

Robert (Bob) F. Peters, of West Bend, passed away peacefully at the age of 74, surrounded by his family at Kathy Hospice on Saturday, June 29, 2024 after suffering complications from Chemotherapy.

Robert was born September 28, 1949 to Robert and Marie (Van Beek) Peters in West Bend. He was raised on the farm and enjoyed helping his dad do farm work, and especially remembers driving tractor at the age of eight years old. Robert attended Holy Trinity Grade School in Newburg and later attended West Bend High School where he graduated in 1967. After his graduation, he started his career at the West Bend Company where he met the love of his life, Carol Jean Neuendorf. Then, the two entered holy matrimony on April 28, 1973. After 46 and a half years of service, Robert retired on January 1, 2014 from RegalWare.

In his younger years, drag racing, raccoon hunting, and deer hunting were his specialty.

Throughout his life, Bob enjoyed NASCAR, the Brewers, and the Packers. Over the years, Bob and Carol enjoyed many trips to Florida to enjoy the beaches, Disney World, and many other tourist attractions.

After retirement, Bob created Date Day on Tuesdays, where movies were top priority and eating out for lunch. Thursdays were his Milk Program where he delivered milk to his children. In addition to this, Bob enjoyed and always looked forward to seeing his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bob was a very unique and gifted individual that could fix cars, lawn equipment, landscape, and be a plumber. Mr. Fix It at best.

Bob’s favorite slogans were: “Retirement is: you can do what you want, when you want with a few exceptions”, “if I could I would” and “WHATEVER!”

Those left behind to cherish his memory is Bob’s wife Carol of 51 years; four children, Scott (Danette) Neuendorf, John Neuendorf, Amy (Michael) Oksiuta, and Brooke (Richard) Walsh; 12 grandchildren, Jessica (Angela) Gonzalez, Mackenzie, Riley and Braeden Neuendorf, Allison (Michael McBriar) Neuendorf, Lauren Neuendorf, Jordan (Ashley) Oksiuta, Valerie and Taylor Oksiuta, and Cyrus, Harland, and Evermore Walsh; five great-grandchildren, Avien and Jaxiah Gonzalez, Aubrie Lawrence, Raina Oksiuta and Hudson McBriar; four sisters, Ruth (Joseph) Santoro, Geraldine (Robert) Schladweiler, Marilyn (Richard) Schulze, and Christine Udovich; sister-in-law Dianne Neuendorf; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marie Peters; parents-in-law, Melvin and Florence Neuendorf; brother, Joseph Peters; sister, Caroline Wodsedalek; and brother-in-law James Neuendorf.

VISITATION: Bob’s family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church (140 S. 7th Avenue, West Bend, WI – 53095). The visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., until 11:45 a.m.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE: A Celebration in honor of Bob’s life will take place following the visitation at the church, commencing at 12:00 p.m. Entombment in Washington County Memorial Park following the hospitality at the church.

Though flowers are appreciated, let’s remember Bob by donating to the charities he held close to his heart, including The Threshold, Washington County Humane Society, and Trinity Lutheran Church’s Roof Project.

A very grateful and generous thanks to the doctors, nurses, and volunteers with The Kathy Hospice for their tender hearts during a time it was most needed. Their kindness will never be forgotten.
