Robert "Dusty" Puestow, 69, of the town of Barton, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012 on the family farm, in the same room that he was born in.
He was born on November 11, 1942 to the late Arthur R. and Edna (nee Wickert) Puestow, Sr. He attended West Bend Schools and then served in the U.S. Army. After his discharge he returned to the farm and operated it with his brother until his retirement. Even after his retirement, he still enjoyed watching the crops grow and be harvested. He enjoyed playing Sheepshead and shaking dice with his friends.
He is survived by two sisters, Florence Mueller of Kiel, and Lucille (Clyde) Crass of West Bend; a brother, Roman (Lorraine) Puestow of West Bend; a sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Puestow of West Bend; a nephew, Steven (Patricia) Puestow of Jackson, and their children, Carolyn, Benjamin, and Generose; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Lester (Elva) Puestow, Arnold Puestow, Melvin (Regina) Puestow, and Arthur Puestow, Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Melvin Mueller.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend. Visitation will be at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend, on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.
