Robert B. “Bob” Schlamer, Sr., age 83, of Kewaskum, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2006 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
He was born on November 25, 1922 in West Bend, the son of the late Henry and Marie (Troedel) Schlamer, and on July 28, 1945, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Neidinger at St. Robert’s Catholic Church in Shorewood.
Bob proudly served his country in the U. S. Merchant Marines from 1941-45. He was a member of the Merchant Marines Veterans Association, the Robert G. Romaine American Legion Post 384 Kewaskum and Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.
Survivors include his loving wife, Marilyn; four children, Dr. Robert Schlamer of Oconomowoc, Mark Schlamer of Campbellsport, Kurt Schlamer of Oak Creek and Lisa (David) Lepak of Rosendale; a grandson, Joshua Lepak, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Schlamer.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Bob was held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2006 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main Street, Kewaskum and burial with military graveside rites was at 10:00 a.m. on Friday in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends called on Thursday at the church from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.
