Robert W. "Bob" Nell

Robert “Bob” Wayne Nell, 84, passed away on Good Friday, April 18, 2025 in Fort Myers, Florida, due to complications of Parkinsons Disease.

Born on May 12, 1940, in Milwaukee, Bob Nell came into the world as the beloved son of William and Bernice (née Schmidt) Nell. On November 18, 1961, he embarked on a lifelong journey with his wife, Nancy Erdmann, building a life together filled with love and adventure.

Bob grew up in Milwaukee and attended high school at Boys Tech, later dedicating 18 years to Roundy’s before taking a bold step into entrepreneurship. Alongside Nancy, he founded NANSEA, where he thrived as a business owner for 22 years until his well-earned retirement in 2005.

A man of many passions, Bob found joy in the great outdoors—whether hunting, fishing, or honing his skills in target shooting with his close friends. His social spirit shone through his time spent with his coffee clutch group in West Bend, earning him a reputation as a fish connoisseur and master storyteller. His entrepreneurial success was fueled by an unshakable drive and creativity, constantly conjuring new ideas that set him apart.

Bob and Nancy embraced a life of travel, exploring the world together and making lasting memories. In Cypress Cove, Fort Myers, he became affectionately known as “Bingo Bob,” a name that reflected his warmth and camaraderie wherever he went.

Those left to cherish Bob’s memory include his wife, Nancy Nell; son, Robert (Kristin) Nell; a twin brother, Richard “Dick” (Judy) Nell; a sister-in-law, Biruta Erdmann; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his brother, William “Bill” (Diane) Nell, and a brother-in-law, Allan Erdmann.

VISITATION: Bob’s family will greet relatives and friends at Myrhum – Patten Funeral & Cremation Service, 1315 W. Washington Street, in West Bend, on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until Noon.

FUNERAL SERVICE: A service for Bob will be held at Noon at the funeral home in West Bend. A livestream of the service will appear here: Robert W. "Bob" Nell Funeral Service. A private family burial will take place at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.

Memorials to Parkinsons Foundation are appreciated by the family.
