Robert "Bob" T. Rackowski

Robert “Bob” T. Rackowski of Greendale found peace on Thursday, February 11, 2021.

He was born on May 14, 1932 to the late Leonard and Sophie (nee Lazarczyk) Rackowski in Milwaukee, WI. Bob grew up and lived in Greendale most of his life. He was a Manager of Systems & Program Development for Deutz Allis for many years until retirement. Bob enjoyed camping, fishing, photography, and was an avid skier. Bob was quite the competitor, winning numerous awards in dog obedience, trophies for his prized Fiero at car shows and even showing horses. He enjoyed, not only attending horse shows, but supporting his daughters’ various horse activities, camping with the horses and at horse shows around the state. His love for music was unending and was a band member all his life, playing the alto sax, tenor sax, clarinet, and guitar. Bob was a dedicated father to his three girls and will be missed by all who knew him.

Those Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory include his three daughters, Yvonne (Nick) Campanelli, Laura Rackowski, and D. Lynne Luckow; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Ryan) Berndt, Benjamin (Jamie) Suxstorf, Heidi (Thomas) Tobalsky, and Sam Luckow; six great-grandchildren, Steve, Ethan, Olivia, Matthew, Nicholas, and Vance; former wife, Hannelore Damrow; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Muzia-Rackowski (nee Straszewski); his sister, Grace (Ken) deLanguillette; and a brother, Wayne Rackowski.

A private family service in remembrance of Bob will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bob’s name to your local Humane Society are appreciated by the family.
