Robert G. “Bob” Serwe, 71, of Campbellsport, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015, at his home.
Bob was born on January 16, 1944, the son of the late Leo and Mayme (Beck) Serwe, and on June 8, 1968, he was united in marriage to Norma Shanebrook. She preceded him in death on February 22, 1992. On October 26, 1996, he was united in marriage to Susan Strahl at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.
Bob enjoyed fishing, golfing and was an avid Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger fan. He was employed by the West Bend Company for 33 years as a mechanical engineer. After retirement, Bob and Susan enjoyed traveling together and loving life. Bob proudly served his country for two years in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.
Those Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Susan; a son, Gregg (Katrina) Serwe of Campbellsport; two step-sons, Daniel Novobielski and Darrick (Renee) Novobielski both of Hartford; two grandchildren, Vera and Vivian Novobielski; a brother, Norbert (Lorraine) Serwe of Campbellsport; two sisters, Elaine (Larry) Floeter and Jean (Mark) Schlaefer all of Campbellsport; his father-in-law, Donald (Sandy) Strahl of Upper Michigan; three sisters-in-law, Donna (Art) Meyer of Crivitz and Peggy (David) Porath and Barbra Strahl both of Upper Michigan; four brothers-in-law, John (Brenda) Strahl, Don (Janet) Strahl, Mike (Jocelyn) Strahl and Patrick (Jill) Strahl all of Upper Michigan; a nephew, Robert (Penny) Serwe and their daughters, Cora and Megan; a niece, Lynn (Chad) Behling and their daughter Kalli; other relatives and many friends.
In addition to his parents and his first wife, Bob was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Richard Strahl and his mother-in-law, Jacqueline Strahl.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Bob will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. Rev. Edwin Kornath will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
The Serwe family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum has been entrusted with Bob’s arrangements.
