Robert J. “Bob” Gasper, 75, of Lomira, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013, at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.
He was born on July 20, 1938, in Fond du Lac, the son of the late Alex and Anita (Hoffman) Gasper, and on July 2, 1960, he was united in marriage to Marlene Luebke at Salem Evangelical United Brethren Church in Lomira.
Bob proudly served his country in the Army Reserves for eight years. He was employed by the Gehl Company in West Bend for 20 years and Michels Corporation in Brownsville for 15 years. Bob will fondly be remembered as an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He will be deeply missed by his wife, his family and by all who knew him.
Those Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Marlene; two children, Deborah Gasper (fiancé, Mike Koput)of Mayville and Gregory (Kim) Gasper of Appleton; a brother Gary (Marlis) Gasper of Kenosha; a sister, Carol Radley of Oshkosh; a sister-in-law, Marge Gasper of King, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by two brothers, Alex and Gerald (Barbara) Gasper and a brother-in-law, Roger Radley.
Funeral services for Bob will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2013, at the Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home in Lomira. Rev. Kerry Wilson will officiate and burial will follow in Salem Cemetery in Lomira.
The Gasper family will greet relatives and friends on Friday from noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
