Ronald M. Fick, age 70, of West Bend, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls.
He was born on May 3, 1943 in Milwaukee to Arthur and Lorraine (nee Ern) Fick, and graduated from Custer High School in the class of 1961. On March 26, 1966 Ron was united in marriage to Doris Bechler at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kenosha. Together they resided in Kenosha and Milwaukee, before moving to West Bend in 1981.
Ron was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend, and was the church custodian for 35 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons, gardening, and going to movies with Doris on Friday nights.
Ron is survived by his wife, Doris; two sons, Shawn (Jennifer) Fick of Green Bay, and Bryan (Kerry) Fick of Erin; three grandchildren, Morgan Fick, Hannah Fick, and Abbey Fick; his mother, Lorraine Fick of Hartford; six sisters-in-law, Yvonne (Vernon) Hafferman of Muskego, Barbara (Curt) Carter of West Bend, Mary (Ron) Sartler of West Bend, Bonny Bechler of West Bend, Dawn (Greg) Weisner of West Bend, and Denise (Craig) Gruber of Campbellsport; six brothers-in-law, Dennis (Marlene) Bechler of West Bend, Don (Shirley) Bechler of West Bend, Richard (Jane) Bechler of West Bend, Randy Bechler of Campbellsport, Jerome (Pam) Bechler of Germantown, and Tim (Kim) Bechler of West Bend; God son, Charles Sedli of Milwaukee; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Fick; parents-in-law, Jerome and Helen Bechler.
Funeral services in remembrance of Ron will be held on Friday October 11th at 6:30 pm at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church (809 S. 6th Ave.) West Bend. Pastor Guy Roberts will officiate. Visitation will be Friday at the church from 4:00 pm until the time of service.
