Ronald J. Jennrich, age 68, of West Bend, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2007 at the Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.
Ron was born on September 9, 1938 in Milwaukee to Howard and Catherine (nee Hafemann) Jennrich. Following his high school graduation, Ron proudly served his country as a United States Marine. Ron was united in marriage to Barbara Kowitz on April 30, 1960 at Zion Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. Together they made their home in West Bend, and Ron began his career as a commercial artist for Serigraph. He later became the purchasing manager for Serigraph and eventually finished his career at Wesbar as their purchasing manager there until his retirement. Ron loved woodworking and after his retirement he began a hobby business called Santa's Workbench producing many beautiful carvings. He loved antiquing and taking his grandsons to Cedar Springs for trout fishing. Door County was always a favorite destination for Ron. He was a history buff, an avid reader, and he will always be remembered for his dry sense of humor.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his cherished daughter, Jeanne (Steve) Stoffel; and his four grandsons, Jack, Ben, Alek, and Derrik Stoffel. He is further survived by his mother, Catherine; his sister, Sallie (Bruce) Peterson; his mother-in-law, Hattie Kowitz, his two sisters-in-law, Judy (Dennis) Radmer, and Darlene (Keith) Koenings; and many other dear nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Howard, and his father-in-law, Edward Kowitz.
A memorial service in honor of Ron will be held on Friday, April 20, at 12:00 pm at Pilgrim Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend. Rev. Joseph Fisher will officiate. Visitation with family and friends will be at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service at noon. Burial will be in Washington County Memorial Park on Friday at 2:45 pm.
Memorials to Pilgrim Ev. Lutheran Church or to the Kathy Hospice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you the staff of Synergy Health and the Kathy Hospice for all of the loving care and support they gave Ron and his family.
