Ronald "Ron" Phillip Sternig, Sr.

Ronald “Ron” P. Sternig, Sr., age 74, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2024 with his family by his side.

He was born on July 15, 1949, to the late Michael and Maxine (nee Henkel) Sternig in Milwaukee, WI. Ron graduated from Milwaukee Pius XI High School in 1967. He honorably served in the United States Army National Guard for 6 years. On August 15, 2001, he was united in marriage to Janie Fry. Ron worked for Kohl’s food store for 13 years, then went on to work for Perlick Corp. for 25 years until retirement. He enjoyed playing the accordion and keyboards and played with the B.O.S.S. Bros. Band for 19 years. Ron especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Those Ron leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 22 years, Janie Sternig; two children, Shelley (Eric) Mraz, and Ronald “Ronnie” (Jessica) Sternig, Jr.; four grandchildren, Nick Schubert, Olivia Schubert, Shana Sternig, and Courteney Sternig; three brothers, Dennis (Diane) Sternig, Mike (Linda) Sternig, Randy (Debbi) Sternig; sister-in-law, Sarah Sternig; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Terry Sternig.

VISITATION: Ron’s family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten funeral home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend

SERVICE: A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 4:00 p.m.
