Rosalind A. “Rosie” Westerman (nee Emmer) , 77, of Kewaskum, entered Eternal Life on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Seasons Hospice in Waukesha, with her loving family at her side.
Rosie was born on July 5, 1937, in Ashford, the daughter of the late Edward and Adela (Bingen) Emmer. On August 30, 1958, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Westerman at St. Martins Catholic Church in Ashford.
Rosie was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum and was also a member of We Love To Dance Club. She was employed by Regal Ware for 32 years. Rosie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Those Rosie leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband Lloyd, of 56 years; five children, Dennis Westerman of Kewaskum, Dr. Larry (Jennifer) Westerman of Decatur, Georgia, Sharon Westerman of Kewaskum, Sandra (Joseph) Gitter of Kewaskum and Randy (Laura) Westerman of Slinger ; six grandchildren, Adam (Lindsay) Gitter, Nathan Westerman (special friend, Megan Nickel), Anna (Eric) Cain, Jacob Westerman, Ryan Westerman and Ben Westerman; a great-grandson, Duncan Gitter; a brother, Edward Emmer of Lomira; two sisters, Kathleen (Donald) Gunderson of Lomira and Valeria (James) Becker of Campbellsport; two brothers-in-law, Richard (Angie) Westerman and Phil Hahn; three sisters-in-law, Lorraine Boden, Sally Doll and Rosalie Emmer, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Rosie was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Walter and Helen Westerman; four brothers, Clarence (Gert) Emmer, Roman (Florence) Emmer, Wilmer (Mae) Emmer and Robert Emmer; two sisters, Elizabeth Emmer and Marion (Arthur) Theisen; three brothers-in-law, Marvin Zehren, Richard Boden and Jerry Doll; three sisters-in-law, Francis Emmer, Ardell (Joe) Fell and Mary Hahn.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Rosie will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, 2015, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum with Rev. Edwin Kornath officiating. Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church Cemetery in Kewaskum.
Rosie’s family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Holy Trinity Parish Center are appreciated.
The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum has been entrusted with Rosie’s arrangements.
