Rose Mary Bingen, (nee Pastors), age 88, of West Bend, passed away Sunday February 1, 2009 at River Way Place in West Bend.
She was born in the Town of Barton on July 28, 1920 to the late John and Mary (nee Matenaer) Pastors. Rose Mary attended St. Mary's Grade School and graduated from West Bend High School in the class of 1938. She then attended the Wisconsin Academy of Cosmetics Arts. Delbert preceded her in death on March 9, 1988.
On January 31, 1942 Rose Mary was united in marriage to Delbert Bingen at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Parish. Together they made their home in West Bend and Rose Mary worked as a beautician at Lorraine's Beauty Salon, which she later bought and operated.
Rose Mary was a life long member of St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Parish, and a member of the Christian mothers. She was a volunteer at the Threshold and the Washington County Historical Society. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She is survived by seven children, Thomas (Sandra) Bingen of Menomonee Falls, Gary Bingen of West Bend, Mark (Patti) Bingen of Brookfield, James (Diane) Bingen of West Bend, Paul (Ellen) Bingen of Hartford, Kathy (Rich) Hirschboeck of West Bend, and Linda (Greg) Wisnefske of Lomira; 16 grandchildren, Michele, Kristin, Kimberly, Jesse, Todd, Nicholas, Matthew, Bronwyn, Dane, Colin, Luke, Joel, Jenna, Chad, Justin, and Jared; 14 great-grandchildren, a brother-in-law, Alex Bales; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert; a daughter, Jean Ann; two brothers and their wives; Henry & Eleanor Pastors, and Joseph & Frances Pastors; two sisters, Loretta and her husband, Ray Bales and Marie Bales; a sister-in-law and her husband, Bernice & Arnold Bier; two brothers-in-law, Eugene and his wife Mary Ann Bingen, and Donald Bingen.
A Mass of Christian Burial in remembrance of Rose Mary will be held on Thursday February 5th at 1:00 pm at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Parish. Rev. Michael Moran will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday at the church only from 11:00 am until the time of mass. Memorials to St. Mary's Church, St. Mary's School, or the Macular Degeneration Foundation are appreciated.
