Rosemary A. “Rosie” Zettler, age 73, of West Bend, formerly of Boltonville, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, February 20, 2006 at SynergyHealth St. Joseph’s Hospital in the town of Polk.
She was born on August 11, 1932 in Hustisford, the daughter of the late Harold H. and Louise (Darge) Schwartzmiller, and on May 14, 1955, she was united in marriage to Roger R. Zettler at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in LeRoy. Her husband preceded her in death on November 29, 2003.
Rosie was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Michaels. She was an avid NASCAR fan, especially of Dale Earnhart, Sr. and enjoyed Badger football, Badger hockey, the Packers and spending time with her grandchildren. Rosie was very patriotic and especially proud of her nephews who are serving in the armed forces.
Survivors include three sons, Rodney Zettler of Boltonville, Robert (Debra) Zettler, Sr. of Random Lake and Richard (Cathy) Zettler of West Bend; a daughter-in-law, Amy Zettler of Kewaskum; a brother, Harold (Marsha) Schwartzmiller of Kekoskee; seven grandchildren, Megan, Robert, Jr. (Jessica), Savannah, Jacob, Kaylee, Kelsey and Katelyn Zettler, and she is further survived by in-laws, step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Roger H. Zettler.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2006 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 8877 Forest View Road, Kewaskum. Burial was at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends called at the church on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.
