Ruben “Shorty” Torres, age 73 years was called home to be with the Lord on June 24, 2019 at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa surrounded by his loving family.
Ruben was born on June 10, 1946 in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico to Jose Torres and Virginia Rodriguez.
Ruben loved the Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers. He enjoyed being with his family, playing dominoes, going camping, and playing basketball with his grandchildren.
Those Ruben leaves behind to cherish his memory include his three sons, Alan (Jenny) Torres Sr. and their children, Alan Jr. and Savana; Jose Torres; and Andres Torres and his children, Lisette, Juan and Carlos; one daughter, Nancy (Jorge) Ortiz and their children, Eric, Precious and Alicia; and his former wife, Maria Nieto. He is further survived by ten siblings, Gladys Rodriguez, Andres Torres, Digna Torres, Jose Torres, Harry Torres, Nereida Ortiz, Iris Enlicher, Carmen Castillio, Wanda Farley, and Wilfredo Torres; cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends at Harthaven Senior Living in Hartford.
Memorial Service for Ruben will be held at 3:30 pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Myrhum Patten Miller Kietzer Funeral Home (1315 W Washington St. – West Bend, WI 53095).
Ruben’s family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3 pm until the time of service.
