Ruby E. Grunwaldt, nee Poehlman, 96, of West Bend, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 28, 2008 at the Samaritan Health Center.
She was born December 17, 1911 in the town of Germantown to the late George and Josephine (nee Klumb) Poehlman. She married Hugo Grunwaldt on July 3, 1930. They lived in Milwaukee until 1960 when they relocated to West Bend. Hugo passed away February 16, 1985.
Ruby is survived by two sisters, Lila Patzen of West Bend, and Dorothy Schaerf of Cedarburg, a daughter-in-law, Judy Grunwaldt of Malvern, Pennsylvania, other relatives and many friends.
She will be dearly missed by her guardian and "family" of 23 years, Rosie and Al Klemm, and their children, Amanda and Louis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugo; her son, James; two sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 31 at 11:30 a.m. at Pilgrim Ev. Lutheran Church, 462 Meadowbrook Dr., West Bend. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Milwaukee, following the service. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Pilgrim Ev. Lutheran Church are greatly appreciated.
