Ruby L. Hoover (nee Wilson), 72, of Theresa passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021.
She was born on February 25, 1948 to the late Jack and Alice (nee Wagner) Wilson in Fond du Lac, WI. She graduated from Kewaskum High School. She was united in marriage to Don Volz. Ruby was a hard worker and was a devoted wife, mother, and Nana to her family. Later she was united in marriage to Howard Hoover. She loved gardening and canning. Ruby enjoyed cooking and making pies. She lightened the room up with her smile. Family was very important to her and loved spending time with them. She touched many life’s and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Those Ruby leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Howard Hoover; two children, Michelle Francis and Dawn (David) Johnson; five step-children, Howard, Diane, Kimmy, Michael (Anna), and Patricia (Brandon); three grandchildren, Justin, Brandon, and Preston; eight step-grandchildren, Anthony, Adrian, Brandon Jr., Savannah, Mika, Harley, Brian, and Makenzie; a great-grandson, Dominic; a step great grandson, Jordan; a sister, Margie (Tom) Kapsenstein; a brother, Bob (Shelley) Wilson; former husband, Don Volz; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Christina Faith; father and mother-in-law, Joe and Micky Hoover; and former father and mother-in-law, Joe and Martha Volz.
A visitation in remembrance of Ruby will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 215 Forest Ave., Kewaskum.
A graveside service will be held at 1:15 p.m. at Lutheran Memorial park in Kewaskum.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the family or to St. Lucas Church General Fund in Ruby's name are appreciated.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Froedtert Hospital West Bend and Milwaukee, Preceptor Home Health & Hospice, and the EMS teams from Theresa and Kewaskum for all their help and care.
