Russell M. "Russ" Koehn, age 68, of Mayville, formerly of West Bend, passed away Tuesday September 7, 2004 at St. Joseph's Community Hospital in West Bend.
He was born on December 4, 1935 in Milwaukee to the late Gilbert and Clara (nee Marten) Koehn. Following his graduation from Lancaster High School, Russ entered the United States Air Force and was enlisted for four years. After his military service, he began working for Russ Darrow Automotive Group. He was employed there for 36 years and was the executive manager.
He was a member of St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Knowles, WI. He was also very active in many clubs over the years including Ducks Unlimited, Wisconsin Water Fowlers, the West Bend Moose Lodge, West Bend Masonic Lodge, and the Tripoli Shrine. In his free time he also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Russ is survived by his loving companion, Kathy Sertich of Mayville; four children, Mark Koehn of Milwaukee, Tom Koehn of Whitefish Bay, Susan (Ted) Witas of Mukwonago, and David Koehn of San Diego CA; four grandchildren Angi Koehn of Milwaukee, Brett, Mason, and Mallory Witas of Mukwonago; the mother of his children Karen Koehn of Plain Well, MI; a brother, Kenny (Marlene) Koehn of La Crosse; a sister-in-law Connie Adams; other relatives and many special friends including the Sertich family.
He was preceded in death by three brothers Thomas, Douglas (Jackie), and Bruce Koehn.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 11 at 10:30 AM in the chapel at Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend. Rev. Darryl Kenagy will officiate and entombment will follow. Visitation will be on Friday September 10 at Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service, West Bend, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday at the cemetery chapel from 9:30 AM until the time of service.
