Russell L. Plzak

Russell L. Plzak, 59, of Kendall, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 19, 2014, at Tomah Memorial Hospital in Tomah.

He was born on May 16, 1955, in West Bend, the son of Eugene and Donna (Conley) Plzak.

Russell was a 1973 graduate of Lomira High School and proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a mechanic by Handy Enterprise Inc. in Warren.

Russell was a member of the Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post 347 Lomira, Ducks Unlimited and the National Rifle Association.

Russell was an avid reader and a sports-minded person. He will fondly be remembered as an avid Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewer fan. He will be deeply missed by his family and by all who knew him.

Those Russell leaves behind to cherish his memory include his mother, Donna Plzak Klein of North Fond du Lac; three brothers, Anthony (Linda) Plzak of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Donald (Daniel Kolbow) Plzak of Gillett and Timothy (Deb Riese) Plzak of Green Bay; five sisters, Patricia Plzak Gilles (Dennis Berndt) of Oshkosh, Deborah (Jerome) Cichocki of Green Bay, Victoria (Gary) Mulder of Brandon, Mary (Douglas) Kiehnau of Lomira and Jean (Randy) Anderson of Manitowoc, 16 nieces and nephews, 19 great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Russell was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Plzak, his grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Funeral services for Russell were held  at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home in Lomira. Military honor rites were performed by members of the Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post 347 Lomira after the service and cremation has taken place.

The Plzak family greeted relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services.
