Ruth H. Hetzel, nee Rettmann, age 87, of the town of Trenton, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013 at her residence.
She was born on April 4, 1925, in Milwaukee, to the late William and Martha (nee Seidler) Rettmann. On August 24, 1946, Ruth was united in marriage to Roman R. Hetzel at St. John's Lutheran Church in Fredonia. Roman preceded her in death on March 22, 1994.
Ruth worked as a sewer for the Enger Kress Company for 20 years.
She is survived by her two children, Roger Hetzel of Malone and Marilyn Chovanec of Campbellsport; son-in-law, Frank Chovanec of Campbellsport; two sisters, Viola Ahrens of New Mexico and Shirley Mohr of Fredonia; nieces; nephews; grand-nieces; grand-nephews; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services in remembrance of Ruth will be held on Monday, January 14th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Martin's United Church of Christ in Fillmore. Burial will follow in Fillmore Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday at the church from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
