Ruth M. Senn, of West Bend, formerly of Kewaskum, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 4, 2011, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in the town of Polk.
Ruth celebrated her 98th birthday on December 19 and enjoyed the holidays with her family. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Kudek) Campbell, and on June 29, 1946, she was united in marriage to Rolland C. Senn at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. Rolland preceded Ruth in death on November 2, 1988.
Ruth was a resident of Cedar Bay Assisted Living Community for the past three years and her family wishes to thank the staff for their kindness and loving care. The family also wishes to thank Dr. Nicole Klausmeier of the West Bend Clinic for her compassionate care.
Ruth maintained an active interest in world events and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and was known around Cedar Bay as “the puzzle lady”. She always had a kind word for everyone and never asked anything for herself. She will be missed by many who loved her.
Ruth was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.
Those Ruth leaves behind to cherish her memory include three children, Sandra Senn of Milwaukee, Suzanne (Kevin) Senn Burke of Madison and Douglas (Debra) Senn of Kent, Washington; two grandchildren, Kyle Senn and Kathryn Senn; a sister-in-law, Ruth Campbell of Kewaskum, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Ruth was preceded in death by four brothers, Edward (Verle) Campbell, Eugene Campbell, Joseph (Betty) Campbell and Sylvester “Bud” Campbell and four sisters, Agnes (Anthony) Durik, Esther (Wilmer) Struebing, Frances Campbell and Loretta (Francis) Matthieu.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Ruth was held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main Street in Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath officiated and entombment was in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Fond du Lac.
Relatives and friends called at the church on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.
Memorials to Second Harvest Food Pantry are appreciated.
The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum was entrusted with Ruth’s arrangements.
