Samuel K. Schmid

May 18, 1986 — March 6, 2005

Samuel K. Schmid, age 18, of Germantown, passed away Sunday March 6, 2005, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Jefferson County.

He was born on May 18, 1986 in West Bend to Kevin and Roberta (nee Green) Schmid. Sam attended West Bend schools and graduated in December of 2003 from West Bend West High School. He attended UWM in 2004, and was currently enrolled as a pre-med student at UW Whitewater. He worked at K-Mart in West Bend and lately in Ft. Atkinson.

Sam attended Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church of South Mequon. For the past 13 years he has enjoyed helping and working at the Georgia State Amputee Golf Tournament in Milledgeville, GA.

He is survived by his mother, Roberta (Richard) Moring of Germantown; his father, Kevin (Therese "Teri") Schmid of West Bend; a sister, Nicole Schmid of West Bend; two brothers, David Schmid of West Bend, and John Moring of Germantown; Maternal Grandparents, Ralph and Helen Green of Eatonton, GA; Paternal grandmother, Verna Schmid of West Bend; an aunt, Deborah (Bill) Eason of Milledgeville, GA; three uncles, Kelly (Mary) Schmid, Arthur (Debra) Schmid, and Curtis (Henrietta) Schmid, all of West Bend; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Arthur Schmid.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 10th at 7:00 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. A friend of the family, Rev. A. Edward Sellers, of Largo, FL will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial in Washington County Memorial Park will be Friday at 9:30 a.m.

Memorials to the Georgia State Amputee Golf Tournament (P.O. Box 343 Milledgeville, GA 31059) or the Northern Ozaukee Scholarship Foundation, in Sam's name, would be appreciated by the family.
