Sandra Lee (Schneider) Mayer

Sandra “Sandy” L. Mayer (nee Schneider), 77, of West Bend found peace on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.

Sandy was the first child of Paul and Zita Schneider. She was born in Manistique, Michigan on February 6, 1945. Sandy married her husband Charles Mayer of the United States Air Force on February 19, 1966.

Those Sandy leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Charles Mayer of 57 years; two daughters, Stephanie Mayer and Susan Mayer; four grandchildren, Amanda (Jacob) Chihak, Andrew (Ronell) Thompson, Adam Thompson, Austin Thompson; and one great grandchild, Ellianna Chihak.

Sandy had four sisters and one brother; Diane (Keith) Patzen, Jane Segrestrom, Barbara (Bill) Lofquist, and Paul (Alice) Schneider.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her youngest sister, Carol Watts; grandchild Alec Thompson; and her beloved yorkie poo, Zoey. Sandra was a dynamic force for her loved ones and kept everyone safe, healthy, and cared for. Sandy will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

A memorial service in remembrance of Sandy will be held on Friday January 6, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral and Cremation Service, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m.
