Sandra G. Ramsthal, (nee Garbutt), age 67, of Little Cedar Lake, West Bend, passed away Tuesday April 17, 2007 at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee.
She was born on October 11, 1939 in Milwaukee to the late Horace and Gail (nee Brown) Garbutt. Sandi graduated from Riverside High School in the class of 1957. She then attended Hanover College in Hanover, IN for several years. Sandi and her family summered on Little Cedar Lake, which is where she met Jim Ramsthal. They were united in marriage on August 27, 1960 in Summerfield United Methodist Church in Milwaukee, after which they made their home in West Bend.
Sandi was a member of the Fifth Ave. United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bridge and was a member of several bridge clubs in West Bend. Sandi was an officer and first recipient of the honored "Golden Bone Award" of the USACTC (United States of America Coton de Tulear Club). She traveled the country and attended dog shows, where she and her dog "Sugar" won many Best In Shows. Sandi enjoyed traveling all over the world with her family. They have visited over 20 countries just in the past seven years. Her greatest passion was the love for her family, and others that knew her became better people and lived better lives because of her presence.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; two children, Bob Ramsthal and Beth Ramsthal, both of West Bend; a sister-in-law, Kathy Ramsthal of West Bend; a cousin, Pat (Dale) Poch of West Bend; other relatives and many friends around the world.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda.
Funeral services for Sandi will be held on Saturday, April 21st at 11:00 am at the Fifth Ave. United Methodist Church. Pastor Jon Bartlett will officiate and entombment will follow in Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, West Bend, from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service.
