Sandra L. Werner

Sandra L. “Sandy” Werner, 68, of West Bend, passed away on October 4, 2023, at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.

Sandy was born on July 11, 1955 in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Leo and Bernice (nee Reul) Kastner. On October 28, 1983, she was united in marriage to Thomas Werner at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend.  Sandy was a CNA and caregiver for many years; her patience and compassion touched many lives.

Throughout her life, Sandy spent a lot of time in her garden, motorcycle rides, attending car shows, cooking, and trying out new recipes. Later on in life she enjoyed playing locally on gaming machines. Her and Tom traveled up north frequently to the Harshaw and Tomahawk area. She particularly looked forward to the yearly Tomahawk Car Show on Memorial Day weekend that her and a group of friends would get together with their old cars and attend. They also took many motorcycle rides and drove around some of their old cars together. Above all else she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Those Sandy leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Tom; two sons, Tony Werner and Andy Werner; her brother, Tom Kastner; two sisters, Maxine Williams and Janet Arndt; her brother-in-law, Michael (Tammy) Werner; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her parents-in-law, Frank and Elaine Werner and her nephew, Luke Kastner.

In honor of Sandy’s wishes a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
