Saverio “Sam” DeStefano Jr., 78, of Mayville passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 28, 2021.
He was born on November 12, 1942, to the late Saverio Sr. and Rose DeStefano in Milwaukee, WI. On July 16, 1960, he was united in marriage to Jeanette Leifer in Milwaukee. Together they raised their two children. Sam enjoyed the outdoors, deer hunting, and fishing. His family was the most important thing to him and he enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s outdoor activities. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Those Sam leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 60 years, Jeanette DeStefano; two children, Joe (Maureen) DeStefano Sr. and Tammy Lemberger; five grandchildren, Joe (Katie) DeStefano Jr., Ryan (Robin) DeStefano, Marissa "Rissey" Lemberger, Amanda Lemberger, and Allison (Troy Kuhn) Lemberger; two great-grandchildren, Riley and Ryder “his little Spaghetti Bender” DeStefano; his sister, Raquel (Jim) Magin; a brother, Tony DeStefano; a sister-in-law, Pat (Sal) Corrao; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his four sisters, Elaine, Mary, Frances, and Antoinette; and his sister-in-law, Sandy DeStefano
Honoring Sam’s wishes, no service will be held.
