Scott F. Burns

Scott F. Burns, 82, of Mayville, stepped into Eternity to be with our Savior on Friday, November 10, 2023, at his home.

He was born on January 14, 1941, to the late Charles and Emily (nee Heseman) Burns in Burbank, California. On January 29, 2005, he was united in marriage to Shellie Zuehlke.

As a child, Scott liked riding his bike to Santa Anita racetrack to hang out with the horses; in fact, he would sometimes skip school to do so. His love of traveling by car started as a child, when he would travel America with his parents. He was a fan of the national parks, and visited them often, he also loved to hike. Scott was talented in construction - he once built an addition to his house by himself. He made furniture, works of art, and painted murals. He liked to play golf, and taught Shellie how to play. He loved his family, and his family loved him, defects and all.

Those Scott leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Shellie Burns; five children, Kathleen Jensen, Patrick Burns, Heather Cahill, Michael Stoecker, and Stacy Stoecker; nine grandchildren, Kristen, Ainsleigh, Harrison, Payton, Phoebe, Vaughn, Noah, Samantha, and Ainsley; loving church family; and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

In honoring his request, he will be cremated and there will be no memorial service. Friends at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hustisford are being asked to sing Hymn 382 in his memory and may, if desired, donate in his name to Time Of Grace.

The family would like to thank Pastor Loescher and the nurses and staff of Generations Hospice for all their help and care.
