Sherry Darlene Reid Lesniak

On Saturday, March 12, 2022, Sherry Darlene Reid Lesniak, loving wife and mother of two children, fell asleep in death at the age of 73 after battling many illnesses.

Sherry was born on October 15, 1948 in Greenville, SC to Herman and Claudia Reid (nee Lawrence). Sherry attended North Carolina State University and enjoyed various jobs throughout her years. She was also a homemaker. On June 14, 1967, she married Phillip Lawrence Lesniak. They raised one son, Joshua and one daughter, Stephanie.

Sherry has always had a passion for the English language and reading, almost always having a book or two on hand at any given moment. She also loved to crochet and knit. She created a multitude of extraordinary items that are forever a labor of love and art in our eyes and to those who enjoy her pieces. Her hats are much admired not only by friends and family, but also by onlookers and strangers that just have to comment on how nice and unique her hats are. She also had an amazing green thumb and left us many beautiful plants to remember her by. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit.

Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Herman, and her mother, Claudia.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip; her two children, Joshua and Stephanie; two granddaughters, Holly Grimont and Heather Hall; and one great-granddaughter, Lilliana Eakin.

There will be no funeral service held.
