Shirley L. (Kempf) Koepke

March 28, 1927 — September 15, 2015

Shirley L. Koepke (nee Kempf), 88, of Adell, found peace on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Beechwood Rest Home.

She was born on March 28, 1927 to the late Erwin and Erma (nee Moldenhauer) Kempf in Fond du Lac County, town of Auburn, WI. She graduated from Kewaskum high school in 1944. On May 25, 1946, she was united in marriage to Roland Koepke at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Scott. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1994. She worked at West Bend Aluminum and at Regal Ware. She was a very hard worker. Shirley was very active in the church and the women’s guild. She loved playing cards, going to the Adell senior center, and traveling. She also did volunteer work at Bethesda thrift shop. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be missed by all who knew her.

Those Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memory include her three sons, Richard (Jane) Koepke of Random Lake, Robert (Jan) Koepke of Adell, and Randall (Jenny) Koepke of Kewaskum; two grandchildren, Janna (Ken) Beck of Random Lake and Ryan (Ashley) Koepke of Pewaukee; two great-grandchildren, Alexa Beck and Kaitlin Beck; sister, Carolyn (Jim) Lindemann; two brothers, Lee (Shirley) Kempf and Allen (Janice) Kempf; sister in law, Althea Kempf; brother in law, Edward Koepke; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Koepke; brother, Marvin Kempf; sisters in law, Maryann Kempf and Corrine Koepke; brothers in law, Jim Wagner and Fred (Nancy) Koepke.

A Funeral service in remembrance of Shirley will be held on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Scott, W8497 Brazelton Dr., Random Lake. Burial to immediately follow the service in Immanuel Lutheran Church cemetery.

Shirley’s family will greet relatives and friends at the church Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.

The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to all the nurses and staff at Beechwood Rest Home for all their help and care.

Memorials in Shirley’s name can be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or the Adell Senior Center is appreciated by the family.
