Shirley A. Sarauer (nee Rohlinger), 75, of Kewaskum was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 22, 2022.
She was born on October 14, 1946, to the late Leo and Johanna (nee Hall) Rohlinger in Kewaskum, WI. On October 16, 1965, she was united in marriage to Ronald Sarauer at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. Shirley worked many years as a bookkeeper at Kewaskum Frozen Foods as well as a cook for Friday Fish Frys at Serwe’s, Rookies, and Woody’s Steak House. She enjoyed playing cards and going to the casino. Shirley especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Those Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memory include her three children, Kristie (Roberto Gallegos) Martin, Karie (Phil Fries) Martin, and Kelly Sarauer; three grandchildren, Erika (Adam Dailey) Martin, Leah (Fiancé Nick Goodsmith-Cataldo) Martin, and Brandon Martin, a sister, Mary (Dave) Ours, a brother Norbert Rohlinger, sister-in-law, Beverly Rohlinger, her cat; Jaxy, other sister and brothers-in-law, relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Sarauer, sister, Rita (Robert) Renner, three brothers, Gregor Rohlinger, Alois (Janet) Rohlinger, and infant brother, Joseph Rohlinger, sister-in-law, Darlene Rohlinger, and former son-in-law, Mark Martin.
A Memorial Mass in Remembrance of Shirley will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 305 Main St., Kewaskum. Inurnment to follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until 1:15 p.m.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Kathy’s Hospice for all their help and care.
