Shirley B. Stasiewicz (nee Plizka), 88, of Franklin, WI was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 5, 2024. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Kenneth G. Stasiewicz, and her parents, Steven & Helen (nee Wilber) Plizka.
Shirley was born on June 9, 1936, in Milwaukee, WI. She graduated from Pulaski High School in 1954 where she met her future husband, Kenneth. They were united in marriage on August 11, 1956. Together they raised their family in Greendale, WI. From Greendale, Shirley and Ken moved to Sun Prairie, WI and then upon Ken’s retirement moved to Hazelhurst, WI to fulfill their dream of living on a lake in the Northwoods. They lived there for 26 years until they moved to West Bend to be closer to family. Upon Ken’s passing, Shirley then moved to Franklin, WI.
Family was very important to Shirley, and she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Shirley loved traveling with Ken in their earlier years, as well as crocheting, crafts, gardening, and baking. She also had a fondness for animals. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Those Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memory include her six children, Mark (Karen) Stasiewicz, Michael (Laurie) Stasiewicz, Susan (Robert) Zanola, Kathleen (Paul) Zane, Lynn (Russell) Kitzke, and John (Diane) Stasiewicz; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; sister, Rosemarie McVeigh; brother, James (Loretta) Plizka; and “adopted son” Scott Passineau; along with nieces and nephews. Most importantly Shirley loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
