Shirley M. Waechter, nee Severson, 70, of West Bend, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Kathy Hospice, West Bend.
She was born on September 30, 1937 in Monroe, WI, to the late Clifford and Esther (nee Rice) Severson. She was united in marriage to Ward Waechter on December 29, 1957 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, West Bend. Ward preceded her in death on December 29, 1993.
She is survived by four children, William (Joan) Waechter of West Bend, Sherry (Jeff) Hansen of West Bend, Darryl (Brenda) Waechter of West Bend, and Todd (Nancy) Waechter of Kewaskum; nine grandchildren, Lisa Waechter, Glenn (Staci) Waechter, Mark Waechter, Aaron Nierode, Matthew (Angela) Nierode, Cassandra Nierode, Zachary Waechter, Kayla Waechter, and Camryn Waechter; a great-granddaughter, Brylie Waechter; a brother, LaVern (Judy) Severson of West Bend; three brothers-in-law, Al Hartwig of Jackson, Merlin (Loretta) Waechter of West Bend, and Richard Waechter of Sheboygan; a sister-in-law, Carmen Glander of Milwaukee; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mable Hartwig, a brother, Willard Severson, and a sister-in-law, Nancy Severson.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 24 at 6:30 p.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 809 S. 6th Ave, West Bend. Rev. George Mumm will officiate and burial will be in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend, on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
