Shirley E. Wren-Krause (nee Graff) age 90, of West Bend passed away on, Monday, October 8, 2012 at Luther Manor Health Care Center in Milwaukee.
She was born on August 9, 1922, in Milwaukee, to the late Frank and Lillian (nee Ollinger) Graff. On January 16, 1944, Shirley was united in marriage to Edgar Krause, he preceded her in death on October 8, 1965. On August 9, 1990, she was united in marriage to Elmer Wren. Elmer preceded her in death on April 16, 2006.
Shirley was an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed playing sheepshead and gardening.
Shirley is survived by three children, Gerald (Kathleen) Krause, Charles (Diane) Krause, and Joanne (Albert) Sunn, Jr.; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence Graff and Merlin Graff; sister-in-law, Magdalene Krueser; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two sons, Frederick Krause and Edgar Krause Jr.; a sister, Novella Krause; three brothers, Elmer, Victor, and Norman Graff; and three sisters-in-law, Carol Graff, Ann Graff, and Virginia Graff.
Funeral services in remembrance of Shirley will be held on Friday, October 12th at 7:00 p.m. at the Myrhum~ Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington Street, West Bend with Rev. Donald P. Weiss of St. Peter-Immanuel Lutheran Church, Milwaukee officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Washington County Memorial Park.
