Stanley "Stan" G. Klos

July 19, 1933 — May 24, 2013

Stanley G. Klos, age 79, of West Bend, passed away Friday May 24, 2013 at The Kathy Hospice in the Town of Polk.

He was born on July 19, 1933 in Belgium to the late Nicholas and Catherine (nee Schueller) Klos. Stan graduated from Port Washington High School in the class of 1951. He served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1953 through 1955. On April 7, 1956 Stan was united in marriage to Mary Anne Freese in Port Washington. In 1958 they made their home in West Bend and Stan Started working for Adelman Dry Cleaners in Milwaukee. He then spent many years working at Gessert's True Value Hardware Store in Menomonee Falls, retiring in 1994.

Stan was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in West Bend, and the Teamsters Local Union 344. Stan and Mary enjoyed boating and traveling during the winter months in their motor home to Arizona and Florida. Stan was an avid sports fan, especially Packer and Badger football.

Stan is survived by his wife, Mary of West Bend; three children, Mark (Patrice) Klos of West Bend, Debra (Paul) Stoffel of West Bend, and Scott (Laurie) Klos of Grafton; five grandchildren, Brandon (Emily) Klos, Katrina (Christopher) Anderson, Shaina Stoffel, Megan Klos, and Jenna Klos; a special great-granddaughter, Olivia Rose Anderson; two sisters, Harriet Tholl, and Rita Goschey, both of Belgium; a brother-in-law, Jon (Marilyn) Freese of Williamsburg, VA; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law; four sisters, Elvira Hetzel, Lozelle Boesch, Alberta Carriveau, and Camilla Hubing; three brothers, Norbert, Elroy, and Quintin; along with brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass in remembrance of Stan will be held on Saturday, May 11 at 11:00 am, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church (1025 S. 7th Ave. West Bend). Rev. Nathan Reesman will be the presider. Visitation will be at the church Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of Mass. Inurnment will be in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.

Memorials to St. Frances Cabrini Church, The Kathy Hospice, or the American Cancer Society, are appreciated by the family.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Herdrich, Dr. Kamaraju, Dr. Johnstone, and the nursing staff of St. Joseph's Hospital and The Kathy Hospice for the wonderful and loving care extended to Stan.
